Thursday, Jan. 9 Agenda

  • Bell Ringer: Outline Check (if you have comments on it/aren’t done, you should do that FIRST!!!) -have outline pulled up when bell rings
  • Research
    • If necessary (as in you don’t have 15 sources): Continue researching: you want a lot of different texts (articles, audio clips, video clips, pictures, etc) that show the importance of your theme/issue (you should be looking during your research for an issue/problem/negative situation connected to your theme)
    • Rubric (Ideas Part)
    • How to take notes
      • If a site doesn’t work for you, just mark it as such, don’t erase it
      • Copy/paste, write in own words, etc.
      • Keep track of what info comes from where
      • Copied pictures, graphs, etc count as notes too
      • Make sure you have images and possibly video clips 
  • You should have at least 3/4th of your notes done by end of class!
  • On Demand Writing Assessment: If you don’t finish in the time given, you will be signed up for advisory tomorrow
    • The first sentence you write is your THESIS
    • Then write either 2 or 4 TIQA paragraphs (TIQA x1 four times or TIQA x2 two times)
    • You conclude your writing with your RESTATED THESIS
    • Paperclip the rubric to the paragraphs and turn in when done
    • Continue working on your research
