    • Make sure to take notes (remember you will need them to write your analysis essay test)

  • Discuss Queen Mab speech pg 960 (end), list the seven types of people she visits and what dreams she brings to each
  • Act 1 Assessment Monday (Prologue through Scene 5)

  • Shakespeare Preview Videos 
    • Remember, you don’t want one answer, you want lots of ideas from different videos/article. The videos can answer multiple questions and you will want to use info from multiple videos for each question
    • Extension/Additional Credit Option: Post a blog post on your blog with a link to a video, set of pictures, or article you think helps give a better understanding of Shakespeare or his influence or any of the other questions.  Along with the link, post what you think can be learned from what you found.  
  • Independent Reading -when you finish the notes on videos

    • Thesis support and Topic Sentences (pg 24 handbook)
    • Should be working on your intro and conclusion at this point

Tuesday, Nov. 12 Agenda


  • Bell Ringer: Summary vs. Analysis
    • Read the sheet.  Make sure to think about these ideas while writing/finishing your body paragraphs
  • Writer’s Workshop (40 min)
    • Intro and conclusion notes (shared with you): page 10 in the handbook too 
    • Whole paper rough draft done by Wednesday end (if you get the intro and conclusion done today, great) 
    • In-text citation, Intro, and Conclusion Reminders: Document shared with you
    • **If you have a first draft (at least all three body paragraphs) done, begin working on your intro and then conclusion.  If you are done with everything, start editing and revising your draft –upload what you have at the end of the block unless you are going to work on it after school
    • MLA format –you have a handout on this, make sure your paper follows it
  • Shakespeare Intro: The info from this, as well as the reading from earlier, can be used for the quiz. Make sure each question has lots of details underneath.  You don’t want one answer, you want lots of ideas from different videos/article. The videos can answer multiple questions and you will want to use info from multiple videos for each question
    • Notes on videos due after 30 min tomorrow!
  • More Writer’s Workshop 
    • If your body paragraphs aren’t done, you need to work on them

  • Bell Ringer: Work on outline/paper
    • On Outline: Need thesis and at least three main ideas/points with three quotes (minimum) by 1:20 
    • Outline check: make sure you used the template in Classroom that is already shared with me
    • By 1:20 today, you should be done with your outline (or at least body paragraph portion) and starting to write your body paragraphs.  If you are at this point earlier, complete the rest of the outline (intro and conclusion) and then start the fourth and fifth steps (topic sentences and paragraphs (rough drafts))
  • Writer’s Workshop time: topic sentence and body paragraph reminders

    • In-text Citations: after every quote, no comma, period AFTER the citation NOT BEFORE!
