  1. The reason Romeo and Juliet are getting married is because of love at first sight. As Juliet is talking to herself about Romeo, not knowing he is there, she says, “Be but sworn my love, And I’ll no longer be a Capulet.” (Shakespeare 972 Act 2 Scene 2 line 35 & 36) When they met at the party, they instantly fell in love. This quote shows that Juliet loves Romeo, and is willing to get married because she loves him so much from seeing him once.

  2. The Rush to Get Married

The reason I think that Romeo and Juliet rushed to get married is because love at first sight.
This is shown while talking about Romeo while Romeo was there she said "Deny thy father and refuse thy name! Or, if thou wilt not, be but sworn my love, And I'll no longer be a Capulet." (Shakespeare Act 2 Scene 2 line 34-36) This shows they had strong love at first sight and it shows how much Romeo and Juliet show love for each other. Dawson
